DUTIES:
- Meeting with account customers to discuss topics of
concern, service issues and product competition. He\she will offer promotional incentives and negotiate
terms of account.

Duties
and responsibilities
- Makes sales calls with FSR’s and introduce automation products to current and new customers to build
the automation customer base.

Lighting Specialist (Saskatchewan)
General Accountability
The Lighting Specialist is responsible for
the total management of specific and major product categories assigned to him/her. He/She will assist the
Division’s management team in meeting and exceeding common corporate goals for achieving sales and gross margin.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Acts as a liaison between management and sales force
with our suppliers. Assists the management team to develop and implement a marketing strategy so as to
optimize the sales force performance. Communicates promotional
activities and sales expectations within specific product lines to our sales force. Review and react to won/lost reports received
from the field and take appropriate follow-up action if required. Provides
leadership and strategic initiatives to key accounts to further develop the company’s position and offerings to clients.
Solicits accounts in conjunction with
the Sales Team to increase margins and volume of business. Develop
and strengthen customer accounts through proposals and presentations to secure profitable accounts and provides timely advice
on price and discount structures. Provide Quotes to maximize
profits and ensure a lucrative business. Ensures strategic account plans are implemented in harmony with
the goals of the company. Develops the Division’s competitive
advantage, strengthening its “unique selling proposition” and positions the Division to be the “channel
of choice” for both customers and suppliers. Analyzes
customer purchases to detect areas for improvement and implement action plans. Meets with customers to
discuss market trends, future business, resolve concerns, and increase customer awareness while supporting the sales and marketing
plans within the customer base Becomes a source of competitive
market knowledge. Researches new product lines within our existing categories for comparison and possible
conversion. Helps branches to develop business plans with
selected suppliers, monitors their effectiveness and progress and adjusts as required. Reviews discount
structures and assists branch Specialists to set proper levels and strategies. Researches,
sets and monitors value pricing and adjusts as required. Monitors and reports on effectiveness of
promotional activities. Works with the Marketing Department
as required to source and evaluate new product lines, new potential suppliers and totally new markets. Assists in the creation of various advertisements and in the implementation of those
advertisements. Proofs and signs off final draft before production. Negotiates
buying terms with our vendors. Offers assistance as required when suppliers’ services jeopardize the Division’s
customer relationships. Monitors and influences our level
of service (fill rates) while adhering to company’s stock turn objectives. Negotiates inventory issues
with manufacturers (i.e. returns, rotations, amnesty programs, etc.). Analyzes suppliers’ total
buying situation and initiates action to reduce transactional expenses that would otherwise drive down the Division’s
cost of ownership.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Community
College diploma in an appropriate field and 5+ years related experience in the lighting industry, or the equivalent combination
of education and experience
- Experience in the Electrical distribution industry would
be considered an asset
