The Opportunity: As Area Manager (Thompson, Manitoba) support strategic initiatives by Westburne Midwest for Northern Manitoba by building strong customer relations as well as driving sales to increase profitability. The Area Manager is responsible for effective establishment of Strategic Account Management systems, as well as management of personnel to effectively propose, manage, renew, and demonstrate ROI for Customers within assigned geographic area.


Role Mission: Play a pivotal role in ensuring that Westburne is considered and viewed as a key partner in the successful operation of the customers and helps position Westburne favourably for all electrical supplies for current and future needs.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Develop and recommend sales strategies, marketing objectives, including sales volume and profit forecasts for the banner
  • Profile targeted accounts in conjunction with the Account Teams, and help to match Westburne solutions to specific accounts needs and driving a strategy that maximizes Westburne related footprint in those accounts
  • Ensure hand-offs to and engagements with the appropriate resources at the appropriate sales phase, to maximize win probability and minimize time to close the deal
  • Solicit accounts in conjunction with the Regional Managers to increase margins and volume of business.
  • Examine sales and marketing opportunity to increase value-added approaches and develops client base opportunities to further increase market presence and market share
  • Educate account teams on how to identify potential opportunities
  • Enforce proper implementation and application of company policies and procedures in general, but specifically those regarding sales practices, reporting and related sales documents

Key Success Criteria:


  • Drive sales and solution deployment wins by working with the account teams, regional manager to convince

      customers of the value of the Westburne Solution Sets

  • Exceed targets by developing sales channels and customer relations
  • Build knowledge of the value of the Westburne Solutions Sets within Westburne to drive engagement and

      joint wins

  • Essential Experience:

  • Strong, proven sales track record of consistently holding or exceeding quota, focused on solving enterprise
  • customer problems, taking new products and solutions to market
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise selling electrical supplies to senior business decision-makers by
  • reinforcing the value of the deal to the customer's overall business pain and/or strategic opportunities
  • Strategic thinking & execution: Ability to create broad business strategies and plans that will allow us to grow and scale the Westburne products
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market trends and potentials
  • Knowledge of electrical industry/solutions, along with offerings of the key competitors
  • Strong Team Player: Work effectively across Midwest teams to solve channel issues, account issues, leverage best practices, & deliver results
  • Experience of presenting to broad and CxO level audiences
  • Great leadership and strong passion for building and driving a business
  • Ability to positively influence and motivate others to deliver the desired outcomes.

Position: Outside Sales Representative

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY


The incumbent is responsible for meeting with current and potential customers to identify needs and proper means of satisfying those needs; he/she further prepares account proposals.  He/she is responsible for cultivating key business relationships through maintenance of good rapport and providing information on new products and technologies to preserve good business relations.  The Outside Sales Representative is also accountable for marketing new products and services available, providing training seminars and offering technical support to the customers.


Duties and responsibilities


  • Meets with account customers to discuss topics of concern, service issues and product competition. 
  • Offers promotional incentives and negotiates contracting requirements and terms of account to produce a proposal.
  • Cultivates key business relationships within assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers and solicit orders. 
  • Maintains good rapport and informs of sales promotions to foster a high level of service and sales.
  • Acts as a liaison to resolve concerns with customers and maintain a desired level of service.
  • Investigates current and forecasted requirements and introduces products and services available.
  • Prepares miscellaneous and urgent quotes on plans and specifications offering competitive pricing and schedules to issue a sale.
  • Ensures all quotes issued are received according to stipulated deadlines.
  • Conducts a follow-up interview to ensure customer satisfaction. 
  • Compares pricing and market conditions to determine reasons for receiving or losing an account.
  • Completes all related account and sales reporting documents in a timely manner.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE


            High School education plus a minimum of three (3) years related electrical industry experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

We are currently recruiting to fill the position of Operations Manager at our Winnipeg location. Reporting to the Corporate Operations Manager, the Operations Manager plans, organizes, coordinates and leads the operations of the Winnipeg office. ·         A four-year Electrical Engineering degree with a P. Eng designation, or a diploma in Electrical  Engineering Technology, or Journeyperson Electrician certification; a combination of education and experience will be considered

·         Industry related managerial and project management experience in the areas of hiring and mentoring staff, managing resources, meeting financial targets and implementing cost control strategies

·         Ability to work well with others in a variety of situations and conditions, as well as the capacity to resolve conflicts and provide effective solutions to both technical and non-technical issues

·         Enthusiasm and initiative to generate new business leads and increase the exposure of company products and services

·         Ability to effectively develop, build and lead high performing teams

·         Proven leadership, business acumen and analytical capabilities
